  1. The first step is to gather information. Start Windows PowerShell as an administrator via Quick Access using Windows logo key + X.
  2. In the already selected text line, type Get-Appxpackage -Allusers and confirm with Enter.
  3. From the retrieved list, find the entry with the name Microsoft.WindowsStore.
  4. Now the string at InstallLocation is crucial. Copy everything after the slash next to WindowsApps.
  5. Replace with it the equivalent part in the following command (where MICROSOFT.WINDOWSSTORE is): Add-AppxPackage -register “C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MICROSOFT.WINDOWSSTORE\AppxManifest.xml” -DisableDevelopmentMode
  6. Now all you have to do is paste this customized command into PowerShell and hit Enter. Your Windows Store should reinstall itself.
